MARCHING BAND – SUMMER BAND CAMP
Summer Band Camp offers marching band students the opportunity to get to know one another and come together as a team. Band Camp consists of mini camps that run various evenings throughout July and August, and an intense but FUN weeklong camp in August! The camp schedule is available in Mr. Fisher’s calendar and in the Events calendar for SLMP located on the Event’s Calendar page of this website. Weeklong band camp typically runs the first full week (Monday – Friday) of August from 8am – 8pm daily. Students learn the field show drill and field show music during these camps. They also get fitted for their uniforms, and get professional individual photos taken in their uniforms. In addition, section photos and group band photos are taken this week. Band camp is an important opportunity for all students, but it is very important that seniors attend as many senior photos are taken including Senior Football Banner Photos! Band camp is one of the students most favorite events of the marching season and should not be missed!!!
